Starfriends Is (Nearly) Here!

Congratulations and welcome to Brainfruit! In the grand attention-mall of the Internet, you have wandered into our store. There are several ways you could have gotten here, but this one is yours. 

The main thing we offer for purchase right now is Starfriends, our party-game-in-a-deck-of-cards that began life as a Kickstarter campaign and is currently (maybe even as I write this) being printed by the experts at LongPack. It's a game about giving ★-to-★★★★★ ratings to food, animals, weather, substances, along with the usual suspects like films and books, and then trying to guess how your friends will rate them too.

If you're curious to see it in action, this video shows how it works in the hands of some of our friends from the legendary Fun City podcast. 

It's a little bit Letterboxd, a little bit Wavelength, and a little bit bowling when you're faced with a 7-10 split, only instead of two pins it's figuring out a type of plant that your best friend loves but your partner can't stand.

We've got our final proof decks in hand and they look great, and we can't wait to start shipping them to you. For now, you can preorder your own deck right here to be part of the first wave of deliveries in early 2026.  

If you're hankering to play now, there's a fully functional digital version of Starfriends available for free right here. There's even a Discord bot version of Starfriends you can install on your server (also for free) to periodically post random pairings of game topics and star ratings. So currently we have a nice mix of one version for sale and two versions for free, a ratio we can't promise we'll maintain forever, but feels pretty good for launch.
